Do you teach classes?
Elisa Strauss, owner of Confetti Cakes®, teaches only private classes in her custom cake studio on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. These lessons are a great gift idea for any celebration. She has created courses for corporate events, birthday parties for children and adults, and bridal parties. For more information please refer to Classes.


Do you ship your cakes?

We are so sorry but we do not ship our cakes…they are too fragile!!! We will, however, hand deliver a cake by van in the tri-state area and beyond! Delivery fees are calculated by the distance traveled to your event and start at $150 per hour. For areas outside our region we provide delivery service at an extra cost.

How much do the cakes cost?
We do not have a general price list because each cake is one-of-a-kind. Due to the care we give to each order we must require a minimum of $1,000 for all of our cakes. We do not make cakes to feed less than 50 people.

In general, for wedding cakes our pricing ranges from $10-$20 per serving. Pricing for custom sculpted cakes is based on the complexity of design and the number of people being served. The minimum for a sculpted cake that serves 50 people is $1,000.

Do you make individual cakes, cupcakes and decorated cookies?

We no longer offer individual cakes, cupcakes, petit fours and cookies. We have refocused the business exclusively on larger custom cakes.

How far in advance should I order a cake?
We are often booked months ahead of time, so the sooner you reserve your place on our calendar, the better. We require a minimum of one month but for weddings we suggest a minimum of three months to one year. Please contact us to discuss our availability.

How do I order a Confetti Cake®?
There are so many factors that go into the creation of a custom cake, so the most efficient way to discuss your event is to first email us. Please provide the following information and we will contact you as soon as possible:

   • Date of Event
   • Delivery time and location
   • Event theme/occasion
       (Baby shower, wedding, birthday, etc.)
   • Number of people cake needs to feed
   • Telephone number
   • Email address
   • Ideas or description of cake design
      you are thinking of

Do you offer tastings? When may I come for one?
We do offer tasting appointments to clients based on our availability for the event date. If we are able to make a cake for you then we will schedule an appointment to discuss all of the details of your event.

Due to the busy schedules of our clients and the time constraints and deadlines we face, most appointments are made during business hours, Tuesdays through Thursdays. Fridays and Saturdays we are busy finishing and delivering the cakes. We try to accommodate everyone, so please contact us and we will make every effort to work within your schedule.

Do you make kosher cakes?
Unfortunately, we are not under supervision to create kosher cakes at this time.

Do you have a retail store? Can I come visit?
Our cake studio is open by appointment only. We do not have a retail store or any pre-made cakes for sale. The process of making each custom cake, designed from scratch, start to finish, and completing every detail before it is time for delivery keeps us extremely busy. So please do not stop by unannounced, as we will not be able to give you a tour. We are so sorry but we cannot entertain any visitors. We would love to meet everyone who calls and writes but we are just not able to do so.

Do you have a catalog or brochure?
We do not have a brochure other than our web site.

Each cake is custom designed so our website serves mainly as a portfolio for you to see previous work. Contact us about your specific event and we can create an edible work of art for you. If you would like to be included on our mailing list, please join by clicking here.

May I intern for you?

Due to the specialized nature of our cakes, we require a minimum commitment of three months. We have a selective process in choosing interns. A good working knowledge of gum paste and rolled fondant is suggested. If you are interested in becoming an intern at Confetti Cakes® please email a resume and digital photographs of previous work to: cakedesigner@confetticakes.com.

Do you have any job openings?
If you are interested in employment opportunities at Confetti Cakes® please submit a resume, cover letter and digital photographs of previous work to: cakedesigner@confetticakes.com. We require a minimum of two years experience in the cake-decorating field and you must be skilled with fondant, gum paste, baking and cake construction.
